Resonance is a third-person adventure game. You play as an alien explorer drawn to a signal emanating from a hostile planet. Intrigued, he follows the signal to the ruins of an advanced robotic species.
While investigating the site, he awakens the gigantic overlord that lies dormant there. These two characters will forge an unlikely bond.

Trying to play with AZERTY controls on a Dvorak keyboard is a nightmare.
Are there no options to change the keybinds? This is impossible to control.

Game runs perfectly fine on my 3080 there was one area outside when I look down it goes to 40fps but shit visuals?!? you have to be rage baiting

I've rarely come across such creativity when it comes to visuals, architecture, and ambiance; it's simply marvellous. The level of detail is also insane. (The performance is quite bad, sadly, but it's not very important to have stable 60fps in this slow-paced experience anyway)

Ah, I got it to work via Steam as a "non-Steam game", at least via Xbox controller. I remapped it and now it works.

I tried, but there seems to be no feature for it in steam or in the game itself to change from french AZERTY to QWERTY or QWERTZ layout.

This is beautiful. Just to confirm, the demo ends when the robot picks you up? It's plenty impressive for a demo, but I just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed anything.
What stunning visuals—beautiful from beginning to end, and truly wonderful.
My favorite parts were the moment the atmosphere shifted when entering the ruins from the vast outdoor scenery, and when I reached the grand hall with the robot by traveling along the rope.
I played while streaming, using an RTX 4060 with 8GB of VRAM.
The game itself used a little over 5GB of VRAM, but since streaming pushed the VRAM over the limit, the FPS dropped below 10, so I had to clean up other applications before playing.
Even though the rendering was heavy and it only ran at about 30 FPS, I’m glad I still got to experience such a beautiful world

Controls are totally broken. Only the D in WASD works, the Right arrow moves me diagonally forward-left, and no controller support at all. Not even sure how you could make it this way, can't play it.
It works for me with Xbox 360 controller. Arrow controls are broken for sure. WASD doesn't work because they made it for AZERTY layout.
My 8bitdo controller worked fine. (xbox-style controller - were you usin a PS style controller?)

Please make this a full game. I played the demo, and it's the most refreshing game in years. Everything about this is first class, and better than 90% of first party games today. I would gladly pay $70-$80 for a game of this quality.

The environment, the artstyle the cinematography are all top tier, like in a big budget AAA game. Love the sound design too.
The only flaw come from the engine itself (lumen, AA, etc)
It is quite heavy to run (UE5 after all), at 1440p 90% res im getting 40 to 50 fps on a 3080 10Gb (im going over the 10gb of vram when running the game at 1440p native). I disabled postprocessing to get a clearer image too. In the end its an incredible project, great work :)

It's because the file is to eavy for Itch unfortunately :/
You can upload up to 32gb files using Itch's tool called butler. The web uploader is limited to 2gb.
No words to describe how amazing the trailer and the game's overall vibe are. The talents who worked on this game are AAA+ videogame level.
The visual artstyle, the environment, the sound and music design, the cinematography, and the storytelling are remarkable.
Can you please add more mirror download options? The GDRIVE and Mega are overcrowded, I can't download from them. Maybe contact Steam to add it to their platform as a free game.
I have great respect for the Team, I hope this student project work will generate huge attention and you guys will be hired soon. Or even better, will get the necessary funds to form your own indie studio.
Beautifully said, although uploading on Steam isn't free. I reckon it would be a great investment for their careers, if they are willing to develop it a bit further. Youtube generates a lot of interest towards this project right now, I think they should ride the wave. :)
You should list minimum system requirements, or give players the ability to adjust graphic resolution. I can't actually play the game.
First time I ran the game: after the cutscene completed, the game returned to the menu screen on the cliff at night, except the character was T posing and all the control were unresponsive.
Second time: game crashed after the cutscene with error message "out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource. Make sure your video card has the minimum required memory".
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB (I know that's an older card, but didn't think it would crash the game)
It's an UE5 demo, so probably needs an RTX with 8GB vram at least. If I could finally download it, I'd tell you how it runs on the RTX 2060 Super 8GB. (sadly this is just the bare minimum for the current gen anyways)
Edit: For the most part, it ran around 25-35fps at QHD native and 30-45fps at FHD native. However, the intro cutscenes were very choppy at below 20fps framerates, late texture pop-ins etc. The ending scene with the heavy volumetric effects was around 20-25fps. In my opinion, adding a few graphics settings and optimizing a few scenes would boost the performance a lot. Even just DLSS upscaling and an option to reduce the biggest bottlenecks would make it much more playable on modest hardware.

It has nothing to do with your browser. The download runs out of the free quota in the new place. :/ Mine stopped halfway through, and now it says I should wait 5hrs or upgrade to a paid plan (no thx).. It will be tough for them to find a sustainable solution without paying money. Maybe they should create an "official" torrent, just an idea
FYI you can bypass the quota with a VPN (just refresh after connecting to a VPN)
